Current projects include deck construction, with commercial projects starting in the coming months.
Responsibilities include:
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood, metal, and other construction materials Building and installing framing, walls, floors, roofs, and structural components Installing doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, siding, and finish carpentry elements Constructing and dismantling concrete forms and scaffolding Performing rough carpentry work, including framing, drywall, roofing, and metal stud installation Supporting commercial concrete and form carpentry projects Assisting with demolition and site preparation as needed Operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely Working closely with project managers, supervisors, and fellow tradespeople Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site What We're Looking For Required Skills & Experience 2+ years of carpentry experience or equivalent apprenticeship experience preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans Experience with framing, drywall, roofing, siding, formwork, or general carpentry Strong understanding of construction tools, materials, and techniques Strong math and measurement skills Commitment to quality workmanship and job site safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Rough carpentry and structural framing experience Finish carpentry experience, including trim and cabinetry Commercial construction experience Concrete formwork experience Demolition and site preparation experience High school diploma or equivalent Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westbrook, Maine. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
