Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, metal, and other materials with accuracy using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other equipment. Perform framing tasks for walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs in accordance with specifications. Erect metal buildings and install metal studs framing with precision and adherence to safety standards. Execute concrete forming and finishing tasks including rebar installation to prepare for pouring concrete structures. Conduct masonry work such as laying bricks or blocks and applying stucco or plaster finishes as needed. Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks like lifting heavy materials or moving large structural components on-site. Follow construction plans meticulously while adhering to safety protocols; interpret schematics accurately for complex projects. Assist with restoration projects by repairing or refurbishing existing structures with attention to detail. Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Skills Extensive experience in construction site environments with a strong understanding of safety procedures. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics. Skilled in various carpentry techniques including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, and metal building erection. Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, rebar installation, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, and drywall installation. Ability to operate hand tools (saws, hammers), power tools (drills, saws), heavy equipment (forklifts or cranes), and specialized machinery safely. Strong understanding of basic math concepts for accurate measurements and dimensional calculations using tape measures and other tools. Experience with metal stud framing systems and construction plans interpretation for complex projects. Ability to lift heavy materials safely while maintaining proper ergonomics; physically fit for demanding tasks. Familiarity with schematics or technical schematics related to construction components; ability to interpret technical instructions accurately. Basic welding skills preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn additional skills as needed for project requirements.
