Woodworking Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Sr Technician or Maintenance Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the full range of rough and finished skilled carpentry work. Incumbent works from blueprints, specifications, drawings and instructions to build, remodel, maintain and repair various types of facilities, buildings, offices, classrooms, restrooms, sheds, scaffolds, forms, frames, fences, and other structures; Installs, builds and repairs internal and external structures, installs and repairs dry wall, ceiling and floor tiles, and roofs; makes cabinets, counters, shelves, benches, partitions, floors, and door and window frames; hangs doors and installs windows; Assists in making concrete molds and structures; makes rough sketches of repair work; may install and repair modular furniture; advises in the selection and storage of building materials; Inspects completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; Estimates cost, time and materials for carpentry projects; Participates in the maintenance and operations of restaurants cleans, Maintains and services tools and equipment used in the performance of duties; Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures; Maintains a safe and clean work environment; maintains records and retrieves data related to work performed using manual and/or computerized record-keeping systems; and prepares standard reports and consults and works with other trades workers.

Skills:

• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
