Job Description
Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping is seeking a full-time Carpenter or Finish Carpenter for our 200-acre campground, motels, golf course, and cabin resort. Competitive pay based on experience. Experience in the following areas is a plus: carpentry, construction, wood working, floor plan and blueprint reading, project management, inventory and supply management, and operation of power tools and specialty equipment. Daily tasks often include construction and structural repairs on buildings, cabins, flooring, stairs, and roofing, inspecting and diagnosis of necessary repairs, communicating with different departments, ordering of parts and supplies, working independently and as part of a team . This position is an ideal fit for those who enjoy working in an active outdoor setting, take pride in their work, and enjoy staying busy throughout their work day. Must be able to pass a background screening in accordance with applicable laws and company policies. Must possess a valid drivers license and clear driving history. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Work may include lifting, shoveling, being able to be on feet for long periods of time. Working with power tools, hand tools, and specialty equipment. May drive and operate equipment such as a tractor, mower or backhoe. This position may require the use of respiratory protection, safety goggles or ear protection.
