The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with hands-on experience in various tasks related to building and renovation projects. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work effectively in the shop and on construction sites . The Carpenter/Laborer will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
  • Communication is very important, must also have a reliable means of transportation (a truck would be preferred)
  • Perform trim carpentry and installation tasks, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Execute flooring installation, including measuring, cutting, and fitting materials.
  • Assist in construction estimating to provide accurate project assessments.
  • Carry out maintenance person tasks as needed, addressing various repair and maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with team members on construction site activities, maintaining clear communication.
  • Handle heavy lifting and maneuvering of materials as required for different projects.
  • The ability to paint walls, ceilings, trim (being able to use a sprayer to paint cabinets is also preferred). Experience
  • Proven experience in carpentry or related fields is essential.
  • Familiarity with trim carpentry techniques and flooring installation processes is highly desirable.
  • Previous exposure to construction estimating practices will be beneficial.
  • Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety regulations is required.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with labor-intensive work.
  • cabinet building skills such as custom closets, mudrooms, home offices would be preferred.
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits for success in this role.
