Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Carpenter/Laborer, where you will play a vital role in constructing, repairing, and restoring residential and commercial structures. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction experience to deliver high-quality results. Whether you're framing walls, installing fixtures, or performing restoration work, your contributions will help shape safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking and framing projects Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of project specifications Perform residential carpentry tasks such as door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, trim carpentry, and fixture installation Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support various phases of construction or restoration projects Utilize woodworking machines and metal stud framing techniques to create structural components according to specifications Assist with rebar installation, roofing repairs, stucco application, plastering, caulking, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and siding work as needed Follow power tool safety protocols while operating drills, saws, sanders, and other equipment to ensure a safe working environment at all times Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry or woodworking; residential carpentry preferred Ability to read blueprints and construction plans accurately; interpreting technical drawings is essential Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers as well as power tools for woodworking and framing Knowledge of wood construction materials including lumber, plywood, drywall, siding materials and related products Experience with construction site safety practices including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and power tool safety measures Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday Familiarity with various aspects of restoration industry practices including water damage repair and mold remediation is a plus Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to ensure quality workmanship on every project Join us if you're ready to build your career in a fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship and safety!
