Experienced Carpenter Wanted - Established Construction Company | Fenton, MO We are looking for an experienced, well-rounded carpenter to join our established construction company. Our projects include higher-end residential remodeling, additions, commercial offices, medical suites, and tenant improvements. Our projects vary considerably, so we're looking for someone who is versatile and experienced across multiple areas of construction , rather than someone who specializes in only one task. This is NOT an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can walk onto a job site and immediately contribute with limited supervision. You should be comfortable performing quality carpentry work, solving problems in the field, reading plans, and completing work correctly without needing to be shown every step. However, still able to work as a team player. The Person We're Looking For We're looking for a carpenter—not a laborer we're going to train from scratch. You should be able to receive a set of plans or a description of the work, understand what needs to be done, gather the appropriate materials and tools, and complete the work with reasonable independence. If you're the type of carpenter who can look at something that isn't quite right, figure out why, and know how to fix it, you'll fit well with our company. What You'll Do Perform framing, drywall, doors, trim, and finish carpentry Install doors, cabinets, hardware, countertops, and other finish materials Perform demolition and job-site preparation Layout and construct walls, ceilings, and other building components Read and understand construction plans Perform remodeling and repair work Work around and coordinate with subcontractors Troubleshoot construction problems and determine practical solutions Complete detailed finish and punch-list work Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site Represent the company professionally when working in customers' homes and businesses Handle a variety of construction tasks without needing constant direction Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of professional carpentry/construction experience Must be able to perform general carpentry work independently & with a team Strong framing and finish carpentry skills Comfortable with drywall, doors, trim, hardware, and general remodeling Able to accurately measure, cut, install, and finish materials Able to read and understand construction drawings Able to identify problems and figure out how to correct them Own basic professional hand tools Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Dependable and punctual Takes pride in workmanship and pays attention to detail What We Offer Full-time, year-round employment Competitive pay based on experience and ability Monday-Friday schedule Small-company environment Variety of residential and commercial projects Work on higher-end projects where quality matters Opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement
