Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter/Laborer and play a vital role in building, restoring, and enhancing residential and commercial spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction experience to deliver high-quality results. Whether you're framing new structures, installing fixtures, or performing restoration work, you'll be an essential part of creating safe, functional, and beautiful environments. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects. Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, siding, door hanging, and fixture installation. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while adhering to power tool safety protocols. Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, and metal stud framing to support various construction phases. Install water damage restoration features, mold remediation components, and rebar as needed for structural integrity. Fabricate and assemble components using woodworking machines and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment for custom projects. Contribute to remodeling efforts by installing flooring, tile laying, siding, doors, windows, and other fixtures in residential settings. Support restoration projects by working on water damage repair, structural repairs, and general handyman tasks such as caulking and painting. Ensure all work complies with safety standards including proper use of power tools and adherence to site safety protocols. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Qualifications Proven construction estimating skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Prior experience in residential carpentry or general construction site work is highly preferred. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, masonry equipment, and woodworking machines. Knowledge of construction plans including framing details, siding specifications, drywall installation, and fixture placement. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures related to power tool operation. Experience with water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus but not required. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings confidently; experience with CNC or fabrication tools is advantageous. Strong physical stamina for demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials or working at heights.
