REPORTS TO
: Director of Facilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finish specification. Determine method and sequence of work operation and the quality and size or raw stock and hardware necessary to complete assignment. May also make working sketches of partitions, wall fixtures, and frames in order to complete required assignment. Perform general carpentry work to include repair, fabrication, paneling, ceiling, concrete work, laminate plastics, and other related duties as assigned. Security escort procedures are in place when access to restricted areas is required. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
High School graduate. Journeyman Carpenter. Two years of experience or related trade. Physical ability and skill to use normal tools and equipment associated with trade. Knowledge of building codes. High ambulatory mobility to enable person to respond to any type of emergency situation or service call and ability to effectively communicate by way of 2 way radio. Must be able to erect and work on scaffolding. Must be able to work with little or no supervision. Must possess a valid MS Driver's License.

The following activities are normally required to perform these functions: stand, walk, bend, reach, read, write, eye to hand coordination, depth perception, effective verbal communication, strong math skills, excellent organizational skills.
