POSITION SUMMARY
The Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry work in support of renovation, new construction, and facility improvement projects. This role requires the ability to interpret and build from blueprints, work independently, and apply a thorough knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and industry best practices. The Carpenter collaborates effectively with other carpenters and construction trades to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include accurately measuring, cutting, fabricating, and assembling wood, laminate, and other millwork materials, including plywood, solid-surface products, and cabinetry components. The Carpenter must safely operate a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools, including table saws, miter saws, routers, sanders, drills, and nail guns. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while assisting with general carpentry and facility maintenance projects as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent, required Commercial or residential construction experience, required
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid state driver's license Must have good driving record Must be able to communicate effectively Must be able to build using tools and equipment of the carpenter trade
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods (up to 8 hours) Constant lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and overhead reaching Constant communication in person and by phone
