Carpenter Job Description This role involves performing all phases of residential construction from framing through finish work on high-end custom homes. You will read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and construction details, complete advanced layout tasks, and execute complex elements such as roof framing, stair construction, and window and door installation. You will support project leadership with crew coordination and project execution while maintaining safe, organized jobsites and protecting completed work to ensure installation quality meets established standards. The position also includes mentoring and supervising apprentices and trainees, assisting with planning and material staging, and ensuring all work follows manufacturer installation requirements and best practices. Responsibilities + Perform all phases of residential construction from framing through finish carpentry on high-end custom homes. + Read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and detailed construction documents to plan and execute work accurately. + Complete advanced layout, roof framing, stair construction, and window and door installation to a high standard of craftsmanship. + Install drywall and finish materials with attention to detail and quality. + Assist Foremen and Superintendents with daily crew coordination and overall project execution. + Maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites, following established safety practices at all times. + Protect completed work from damage and ensure all installations meet company quality standards. + Train, mentor, and supervise Apprentice carpenters and Carpenter Trainees to support their skill development. + Assist with project planning, including material staging, equipment usage, and meeting productivity goals. + Ensure manufacturer installation requirements are followed and adhere to company best practices on every task. + Use carpentry hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned work.
