In Helena since 2006, Revitalize Construction & Restoration, Inc. is a design-build general contractor with a focus on sustainable building practices and in-fill development. We offer quality drafting and construction services for remodels, additions, and ADU's, as well as passive solar and net zero new construction. We only work in Helena, so travel is never required. We also offer the flexibility to create your own schedule so that you can tailor your work hours to accommodate family, recreation, and life. THE POSITION
Our company is hiring an experienced journeyman Framing Carpenter to help us with many aspects of construction work. The journeyman carpenter continues to improve their skill level and works under the direction of the Lead Carpenter. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in construction (including at least several years as a framer), enjoy working on renovations and new construction, and have the capability to be self-directed. RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the assembly and installation of framing structures, including walls, floors, and roof. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and other drawings. Use tools to measure, mark and layout dimensions of materials and surfaces such as floors, walls and ceilings. Carry, set up, adjust, and operate hand and power tools. Load and unload building materials and tools. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Clean and maintain tools. Procure building materials. Follows all city, state, and national building codes and regulations. Submit all paperwork in a timely fashion using company-provided tablets. Directs crew members, sub-contractors and communicates with vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, lifting at least 60 pounds, and the ability to show up for work every day, rested and ready to go. Communicates effectively with teammates. Works well independently and as part of a team. Willingness and interest in learning as well as mentoring carpenters and apprentice carpenters. Knows construction math skills, including how to convert quantities, take measurements, and solve basic equations.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a good driving record A reliable vehicle to commute to and from job sites Willingness to acquire necessary certification and training (company-paid) Possess basic hand tools and toolbags Committed to maintaining a safe working environment and familiar with OSHA regulations.
