Lead Carpenter

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter to spearhead our construction projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. As a vital leader on our team, you will lead our carpenters and laborers on projects and manage project timelines from inception to completion. Your expertise in various construction disciplines will drive successful project delivery while fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor a team of carpenters and laborers to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution accurately. Manage construction site activities by utilizing hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and ensuring proper use of safety protocols. Coordinate with Superintendents to schedule deliveries of materials and coordinate staff scheduling. Enforce safety standards across the site by conducting regular inspections, training workers on safe practices, and maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations. Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, incident logs, inspection records, and project progress updates. Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to various construction disciplines. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively on construction sites. Hands-on experience with carpentry, including framing (woodworking), trim carpentry, roofing, roofing repairs, drywall installation (including plastering), siding work, and remodeling projects. Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools essential for diverse construction tasks. Excellent leadership skills to manage teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
