Are you drawn to fine craftmanship, structural joinery, and building custom homes that last for generations? Do you want a rewarding hands-on career without sacrificing your weekends?
We are looking for a dedicated craftsman or apprentice to join our quality-focused shop in Troy, Montana and master the art of traditional timber framing.
What you'll do: Master traditional timber framing techniques, cutting and fitting heavy timbers for high-end residential projects. Work primarily in our well-equipped Troy shop environment, with occasional travel for regional on-site assembly and raising. Collaborate closely with an experienced, safety-minded crew that takes pride in precision and exceptional standards.
What we're looking for: A strong work ethic, high reliability, and a meticulous eye for detail. Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy labor, including repetitive lifting up to 100 lbs. Solid foundational math skills for accurate measuring, layout, and geometric calculation. Prior carpentry, fine woodworking, or general construction experience is a strong advantage although a great attitude and eagerness to learn are our top priorities.
