Job Description

Carpenter / Construction Laborer Job Summary Murcia Construction Inc. is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our construction crew. We work primarily on residential construction and remodeling projects, including framing, siding, decks, exterior trim, interior trim, and general carpentry. We are looking for people who take pride in their work, show up consistently, work well with a crew, and care about doing the job correctly. Experience is preferred, but we are also willing to consider someone who has less experience if they are dependable, willing to learn, and have a strong work ethic. This is a hands-on position and applicants should be comfortable working outdoors, using ladders and scaffolding, lifting construction materials, and working in different jobsite conditions. Responsibilities Perform residential framing and general carpentry work Install siding, exterior trim, soffit, and fascia Perform interior trim and finish carpentry as needed Build and repair decks, porches, and other wood structures Measure, cut, and install materials accurately Safely operate common hand and power tools Assist with material handling, jobsite setup, and cleanup Follow instructions from foremen and project supervisors Maintain a clean and safe work area Work efficiently as part of a crew Pay attention to details and the quality of finished work Be willing to work on different types of construction projects as needed What We Are Looking For Previous construction or carpentry experience is preferred Reliable transportation to work/jobsite meeting locations Dependable and consistent attendance Ability to work a full construction workday Comfortable working from ladders, roofs, and scaffolding Ability to lift and carry construction materials Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Ability to take direction and work well with others Willingness to learn and improve Strong attention to detail Takes pride in producing quality work We are especially interested in people who are looking for steady work and an opportunity to grow with our company.
