Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter / Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial builds, utilizing your carpentry expertise and hands-on labor skills. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe work environment. This paid position provides valuable experience in the restoration industry and construction sector, with opportunities for growth and skill development. Responsibilities Assist with framing, trim carpentry, and woodworking tasks using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise construction and finishing. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and roofing tasks as needed on-site. Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, siding, drywall, stucco, and flooring to meet project requirements. Conduct heavy lifting and material handling safely to support various phases of construction or restoration projects. Support water damage restoration, mold remediation, plastering, caulking, and general renovation activities. Follow safety protocols consistently while maintaining a clean and organized work area throughout each project phase. Skills Proficiency in using hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws, grinders) effectively. Strong understanding of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and metal stud framing. Experience with fabrication techniques including drywall installation, tile laying, flooring installation, and fixture mounting. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC components, masonry techniques, and roofing practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for demanding tasks. Familiarity with the restoration industry including water damage repair and mold remediation processes. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills such as CNC fabrication or water damage restoration. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.03 per hour
