Lead Carpenter - Decks & Porches — Hourly Pay + Performance Incentives Titan Decks LLC is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter - Decks & Porches to lead residential deck, porch, railing, and outdoor living projects. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already has strong carpentry and framing skills and can take a project from plans to completion while leading a small crew. The right person should be able to show up to a project, understand the scope and plans, lay out the work, direct the crew, and keep the project moving without needing constant supervision. Pay & Performance Incentives This position includes competitive hourly pay plus production-based performance incentives. Crew Leaders who consistently complete quality projects efficiently have the opportunity to earn significantly more than their base hourly rate. Performance incentives may be based on: Completing projects within established production timelines Passing required inspections Quality and accuracy of workmanship Properly managing and directing the crew Minimizing incorrect cuts, mistakes, callbacks, and material waste Keeping the project organized and moving every day Maintaining a professional and clean jobsite Completing all required project phases correctly Overall crew production and performance Quality comes first, but production matters. We want a Crew Leader who understands how to work efficiently without sacrificing workmanship. Crew Leader Responsibilities You will be expected to: Lead a small installation crew on residential projects Read construction plans, measurements, and project layouts Lay out and frame decks correctly Build stairs and properly lay out/cut stringers Install wood, composite, and PVC decking Install picture-frame borders and breaker boards Install fascia, PVC trim, post wraps, skirting, and lattice Install deck and stair railing systems Understand proper fastening, flashing, blocking, and framing practices Prepare projects for footing, framing, and final inspections Assign work to crew members and keep everyone productive Verify measurements and cuts before material is used Identify and solve normal field problems without constant direction Keep materials, tools, and the jobsite organized Communicate project progress and issues with management Make sure the finished project meets Titan Decks' quality standards Required Experience We are specifically looking for a skilled carpenter/deck builder , not someone who needs to be taught basic construction. You should already be comfortable with: Deck framing and structural layout Joist, beam, post, and ledger installation Stair and stringer layout Reading a tape measure accurately Using circular saws, miter saws, drills, impact drivers, and standard carpentry tools Composite/PVC decking installation Trim and finish work Railing installation Reading plans and following dimensions Leading or directing other installers/helpers Working independently and making sound jobsite decisions Deck-building experience is strongly preferred.
