Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, utilizing your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and construction site operations. You will be responsible for assisting with building, installing, repairing, and restoring structures while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. This position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their craft, contribute to high-quality projects, and grow within a supportive team environment. We complete project all over southern NH from VT to the Sea Coast and in VT. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution. Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble materials. Perform residential carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, siding, and fixture installation. Assist with framing, metal stud framing, concrete forming, masonry work, and rebar installation for various structures. Conduct restoration projects including water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, mold remediation, and general building repairs. Support fabrication activities involving CNC machinery or custom woodwork components. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining strict adherence to power tool safety protocols. Install roofing materials, siding panels, flooring, tiles, and perform construction painting as needed. Contribute to remodeling projects by installing plumbing fixtures, electrical components (schematics understanding), or performing drywall finishing. Support site cleanup and organization to maintain a safe and efficient work environment throughout each project phase. Experience Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry or woodworking disciplines. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings such as blueprints or schematics is essential. Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools specific to woodworking and framing tasks. Knowledge of construction plans for residential or commercial projects including framing, siding, roofing, and interior finishes. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety procedures related to power tools and heavy lifting. Previous involvement in restoration or remodeling projects is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship standards. Certification or training in power tool safety is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
