Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team in the restoration industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, particularly in water damage restoration, and will be responsible for overseeing carpentry projects from start to finish. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. Responsibilities Lead and manage carpentry projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors on-site to ensure project timelines are met. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, siding, and concrete forming. Assess project requirements and fabricate necessary components to meet specifications. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure it meets industry standards and client expectations. Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices in best practices and techniques. Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site. Skills Proficient in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry. Strong understanding of construction processes, particularly within the restoration industry. Experience with water damage restoration techniques is highly desirable. Ability to plumb structures accurately and fabricate custom solutions as needed. Knowledge of drywall installation, siding application, construction painting, and concrete forming practices. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
