Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and a passion for building and construction. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial properties, where you will apply your expertise in frame carpentry, cabinet installation, and more. A successful Carpenter will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Perform frame carpentry tasks including the building of walls, roofs, and floors. Execute cabinet installation with precision to ensure functionality and aesthetics. Utilize hand tools effectively for various carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Engage in construction estimating to assess project requirements and timelines. Conduct mold remediation as necessary to maintain structural integrity and safety. Lay tiles with attention to detail for both functional and visual appeal. Fabricate custom pieces as required for specific projects or client requests. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. Requirements Proven experience in carpentry or a related field is essential. Proficiency in frame carpentry techniques is required. Familiarity with construction estimating practices is preferred. Experience with mold remediation is a plus. Strong skills in using hand tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of tile laying processes is advantageous. Ability to build custom structures according to specifications. Experience as a maintenance person is beneficial for varied project demands. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary.
