Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an Experienced Marine Carpenter to join our team dedicated to high-quality custom boat construction, restoration, and maintenance. Your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and marine construction will ensure that vessels meet our high quality standards, aesthetic expectation requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and apply your knowledge and skills in a non-high pressure enviornment. Responsibilities Interpret patterns and scribe for precise carpentry work. Construct, install, and repair wooden structures such as decks, bulkheads, cabinetry, trim, and framing components on boats using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Fabricate custom parts and fixtures utilizing woodworking machines and fabrication techniques tailored for marine environments Install fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, hatches, flooring, counter tops compnents including tile back splashes, and other interior or exterior components with precision. Collaborate with project managers and team members to interpret layout plans accurately and meet project deadlines efficiently. Support remodeling efforts by updating or restoring vessels in accordance with industry standards within the restoration industry. Requirements Strong background in woodworking including working with wood construction materials and operating woodworking machines safely. Familiarity with interpreting wood patterns related to marine projects. Demonstrated ability and experience with a focus on carpentry or similar environments; experience in the marine industry is a plus. Excellent understanding of power tool safety practices along with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Strong application skills combined with effective communication abilities to interpret complex boat layouts accurately. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
