Overview Join our dynamic team as a Marine Carpenter and bring expert craftsmanship to the construction of new Buddy Davis Yachts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for building, a variety of boat and ship components, ensuring they meet safety standards and quality expectations. Your skills will help us deliver durable, high-quality marine projects This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse marine construction projects of new builds utilizing your carpentry expertise in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings specific to marine carpentry projects Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and composite materials using hand tools and power tools designed for woodworking and metal framing Construct and repair marine structures such as decks, bulkheads, cabins, and fixtures with precision and attention to detail Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling large wood construction materials and rebar for structural reinforcement Apply skills in framing, siding, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and trim carpentry to ensure high-quality finishes on all projects Conduct restoration work including water damage remediation, stucco application, plastering, mold remediation, and siding replacement to restore vessels or marine facilities Safely operate woodworking machines and power tools for fabrication of custom components while adhering to power tool safety protocols Skills Extensive experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings specific to marine environments Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for woodworking as well as metal stud framing equipment Strong background in residential carpentry with specialization in trim carpentry, fixture installation, door hanging, flooring installation, and tile laying Knowledge of woodworking machines for fabrication of custom parts and structural elements Familiarity with concrete forming techniques and rebar installation for structural reinforcement Ability to perform water damage restoration tasks including mold remediation and general restoration industry experience Skilled in caulking, stucco application, siding installation, plastering, remodeling projects, heavy lifting tasks, construction painting, metal stud framing, assembly work, and water damage repair Understanding of construction site safety practices including proper use of power tools for woodworking and handling heavy materials safely This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to apply their carpentry skills in a challenging marine environment.
