Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute complex construction projects with precision and efficiency. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for guiding a team of carpenters and tradespeople, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse projects, from framing and drywall to finishing touches, while demonstrating expert craftsmanship and strong leadership skills. Your expertise will help drive project success, foster teamwork, and uphold the highest standards of construction excellence. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate carpentry teams on various construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to guide work processes Perform metal building erection, framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, and siding with precision Manage concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete finishing, plastering, stucco application, and roofing tasks Operate power tools, heavy equipment, and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment on-site Collaborate with project managers to interpret construction plans, schedule work phases, and meet project deadlines Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure it meets specifications and industry standards Assist in the training of team members on proper techniques for woodworking, masonry, welding, and other trades Support remodeling and restoration projects by applying diverse carpentry skills across different materials Requirements Proven experience in construction site management with a strong background in carpentry and related trades Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, technical drawings, and dimensional measurements Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and safety procedures on construction sites Skilled in metal stud framing, drywall installation, siding application, roofing techniques, and masonry work Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining accuracy in measurements using tape measures or other tools Experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete finishing, plastering or stucco application preferred Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and material quantities accurately Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high-quality standards Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating with project teams Join us as a Lead Carpenter to bring your expertise to dynamic projects that challenge your skills while leading a dedicated team.
