Job Description
Morey's Piers is seeking a highly motivated Carpenter Assistant to join our Facilities Maintenance Team. Individuals will be responsible for assisting with carpentry work on buildings, rides, water parks, and facility grounds. The assistant position is open to entry level applicants and also those with at least several years of experience. We are seeking candidates who are dependable and eager to grow! The Carpenter Assistant will be assigned to a Senior Carpenter mentor while training for 6-12 months. This individual will follow and assist the Senior Carpenter in their daily duties to understand the position's role. Carpenters are responsible for carpentry work on buildings, rides, waterparks, and facility grounds. The Pier Carpenter's responsibilities include wood and concrete repairs, heavy equipment operations, routine preventative maintenance and assisting with plumbing and electrical repairs as required. Other tasks may include building concrete forms, moving and assembling fencing and railings, replacing decking, stud walls, assisting with door and window installs, and repairing substructures as required. An additional responsibility is the daily inspection and repair of our wooden roller coaster track. The successful candidate will be able to perform work according to procedures and document completion via a computerized maintenance management system.
