Job Description

Lopiccolo Construction, located in Carson City, Nevada, has a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship, custom-made designs with a commitment to detail and client satisfaction. To be considered for this position, the candidate must have physical strength, endurance, great hand coordination and dexterity, an eye for detail and must be able to work well as part of our team. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The position requires cutting, fabricating and installation of wooden and other structures according to specifications. Experience working on relevant projects and using equipment is essential.
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
  • Frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
  • Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible.
  • Assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated.
  • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.
  • Build/remove scaffolding and other construction structures with attention to safety.
  • Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects.
  • Unload and carry materials at construction sites.
  • Use equipment to demolish structures according to instructions.
  • Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g cement).
  • Clean out site from debris and discard material.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and own tools.
  • Proven experience as carpenter and/or construction worker
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must obtain or have a completed 10-hour OSHA Safety Training Course within 30 days of employment.
  • Excellent understanding of, and hands-on experience with, carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc.)
  • Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, drills, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand, instructions, blueprints, technical documents and drawings.
  • Willingness and ability to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
Pay:
$41,600.00 - $62,400.00 per year
