Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-level Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction estimating, blueprint reading, and various specialized skills such as trim carpentry, framing, and restoration. This role involves working on diverse residential projects, requiring a strong work ethic and attention to detail. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality craftsmanship in a dynamic environment. Duties Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction projects. Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials using hand tools and power tools. Perform framing tasks including metal stud framing, wood framing, and concrete forming. Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, siding, roofing components, and stucco finishes. Execute finishing work such as trim carpentry, drywall installation, caulking, plastering, and flooring installation. Conduct rebar installation and masonry work as required for structural integrity. Ensure compliance with safety standards on construction sites and maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high-quality standards. Requirements Extensive knowledge of carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, framing, roofing, siding, and cabinetry installation. Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely. Experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, drywall finishing (plastering), metal stud framing, and electrical or plumbing experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with the use of construction estimating software is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites. Valid OSHA 10 license Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs. This role requires dedicated professionals committed to craftsmanship excellence in the construction industry. Must be able to drive to Incline Village job sites as well as to Reno or Zephyr Cove area, with a vehicle equipped to safely drive in winter driving conditions.
