Responsibilities Interpret and follow detailed blueprints, sketches, and production design plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp Construct scenic elements using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery while adhering to safe work practices Fabricate performance props and scenic components with precision, ensuring they meet artistic and technical specifications Install set pieces, rigging, and lighting fixtures safely on stage or event venues according to stage rigging standards Perform scenic painting and finishing techniques utilizing knowledge of color theory, scenic painting methods, and construction painting Collaborate with the art direction team to ensure the visual aesthetic aligns with the overall production concept Maintain a clean and organized workspace, manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, and ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times Requirements Proven experience in scenic carpentry, set construction, or other experiential fabricato roles with a portfolio of completed projects. Skilled in woodworking, fabrication techniques, scenic painting, and stage rigging with a solid understanding of blueprint reading Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, ladders safely, and perform manual handling tasks efficiently Knowledge of lighting design principles, interior design concepts, and visual arts painting is a plus Familiarity with safe work practices on construction sites or theater environments including heavy lifting and equipment use Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams

Pay:

$32.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
