Our cafe serves coffee, smoothies, acai bowls, pastries, and other food and beverage options alongside our wellness studio. We're looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Barista/Cook to join our team. This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys working with people and is comfortable helping with both cafe drinks and food preparation.
Responsibilities:
Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, and other cafe beverages Prepare acai bowls and cafe menu offerings according to Cold Summer standards Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards to maintain consistency Take customer orders and accurately operate the POS system Provide friendly, welcoming, and attentive customer service Maintain a clean and organized cafe, kitchen, and work area throughout each shift Complete opening and closing duties as assigned Restock ingredients, cups, supplies, and other cafe items as needed Monitor inventory and communicate when ingredients or supplies are running low Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures Assist with dishes, cleaning equipment, wiping surfaces, and maintaining overall cafe cleanliness Learn the Cold Summer wellness offerings so you can answer basic guest questions and help create a seamless experience between the cafe and studio Assist the team during busy cafe periods when needed Work collaboratively with other Cold Summer team members to create a positive environment for both guests and staffWhat We're Looking For:
Barista, cafe, restaurant, or food preparation experience is preferred Comfortable preparing both drinks and food Strong customer service and communication skills Reliable and punctual Able to multitask and stay organized during busy periods Positive attitude and willingness to learn Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team Detail oriented and able to follow recipes and procedures consistently Willing to help wherever needed to keep the cafe running smoothly Interest in wellness, fitness, hospitality, or community focused environments is a plusPhysical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move for extended periods Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive food and beverage preparation tasks Ability to safely lift and carry cafe supplies and inventory as neededPay:
