Trim Carpenter Active Workforce, Inc. - 4.3 Buffalo, NY Job Details Full-time $28 - $32 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Fabrication Interior fit-out carpentry Power tools for woodworking Wood construction materials Caulking Full Job Description Summary As a Trim Carpenter, you will specialize in precise interior finish work, shaping and installing trim, molding, doors, and related woodwork. Reporting to a supervisor or lead carpenter, you will apply strong blueprint reading and woodworking skills to create clean, accurate finishes on residential projects. You will handle hand and power tools, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with carpenters, drywall finishers, and painters to deliver high-quality, durable trim installations on time. Your efforts will contribute to polished, value-adding interiors for our clients. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and architectural plans to determine trim requirements and layout. Measure, cut, fabricate, and install interior trim, baseboards, casing, crown molding, and related woodwork using hand and power tools. Prepare surfaces, install backing, seal gaps with caulking, and ensure precise fits and clean finishes. Maintain quality by checking for plumb, level, and alignment; make adjustments as needed. Collaborate with carpenters and project teams to schedule tasks, emphasize safety, and complete work on time. Qualifications Proficient in trim carpentry with clear ability to read blueprints and detailed plans Experienced with hand and power woodworking tools; skilled in installing and finishing interior trim Strong residential carpentry background; knowledge of framing and woodworking machines Basic construction estimating skills, accuracy in material takeoffs and project scoping Able to work on-site, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with carpentry teams
Additional:
drywall, caulking, and fixture installation experience is a plus
