Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and efficient project completion. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their skills in carpentry and construction labor. You will play a vital role in building, remodeling, and restoring structures while ensuring safety and precision at every step. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, siding, and fixture installation. Operate woodworking machines safely for cutting, shaping, and assembling wood materials. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for framing, and water damage restoration. Assist with construction estimating by measuring materials and preparing job site layouts. Install various building components such as doors, cabinets, siding, moldings, and fixtures with precision. Conduct site cleanup, organize materials, and ensure adherence to power tool safety standards throughout all phases of work. Support restoration projects including mold remediation and water damage repairs with attention to detail. Work collaboratively with team members on metal stud framing, drywall installation, flooring setup, caulking, reinstallation of damaged structures, and other remodeling tasks. Experience Previous construction experience in residential or commercial settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with reading construction plans and technical drawings is essential for accurate execution of tasks. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and construction site safety protocols is required. Knowledge of various construction materials such as wood construction materials, siding products, metal studs, is advantageous. Experience in the restoration industry or water damage restoration projects will be considered a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency on busy job sites. Strong understanding of safety standards related to power tools usage and general construction site protocols is necessary.
