Trim Carpenter

Job Description

Overview A small but rapidly growing company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trim Carpenter to join our construction team. We are willing to train inexperienced individuals if they are the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in various aspects of trim work, framing, and finishing. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites, utilizing a wide range of tools and techniques to deliver high-quality craftsmanship. Candidates must be committed to dependability, safety, precision, and efficiency in all tasks. The job entails year round work, mostly indoors. Duties Measure, cut, and install trim such as baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and window trims with precision. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation. Perform framing tasks including metal stud framing and wood framing for interior and exterior structures. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various carpentry tasks. Assist with drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and siding work as needed. Install fixtures, cabinetry, doors, and hardware according to project specifications. Collaborate with other trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, roofing, and flooring teams to ensure seamless project completion. Follow safety protocols on construction sites to maintain a secure working environment. Assist in estimating materials and labor for projects when required. Skills Proven experience in trim carpentry, framing carpentry, and general construction site work. Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of construction estimating and fabrication processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on-site. Experience with drywall finishing, caulking, roofing, siding installation, cabinet hanging, door hanging, flooring installation (tile or wood), masonry work, electrical or plumbing basics is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of delivering high-quality craftsmanship across various construction disciplines while maintaining safety standards on all projects.
