Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be proficient in working with hand tools and power tools. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will work on construction sites, collaborating with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. Duties Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, walls, roofs, and cabinets. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools. Install drywall, finishing surfaces as needed for finishing work. Lay tile and perform flooring installations as required by project specifications. Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations on construction sites. Collaborate with electricians to install electrical fixtures as needed in various projects. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Requirements Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools (saws, drills, chisels) and power tools safely. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Knowledge of drywall installation techniques and plastering methods. Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus. Strong understanding of plumb lines, levels, and measuring techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction projects. Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
