Job Description
American Heritage Homes is a locally owned, custom home builder with over 30 years of experience serving the Central Ohio area. We are seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team and contribute to the construction of high-quality custom homes in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas. The Finish Carpenter will play an active role in supporting the home building process, from job site inspections to hands-on finish work, while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, cleanliness, and safety. Responsibilities Assist the builder with all aspects of the home building process Conduct regular job site visits and inspections Complete inspection checklists and document items requiring correction Document the completion of corrective work Perform day-to-day job site management, including indoor and outdoor cleanup Perform finish carpentry work and other hands-on tasks as needed to complete construction phases Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of experience in finish carpentry or equivalent experience Exemplary work ethic with willingness to participate in all aspects of home building Strong attention to detail with the ability to work cleanly and precisely Must own basic hand and power tools and be able to operate them safely Ability to climb ladders and occasionally work on roofs and in attics safely Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more Willingness to perform general job site tasks, including sweeping, cleaning, and digging trenches Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening Valid driver's license required Work is performed in person in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas Benefits Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Profit sharing Retirement plan with company match Company vehicle This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled construction professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering quality craftsmanship on every project.
