Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter/Laborer, where you'll play a vital role in building, restoring, and enhancing residential and commercial structures. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from framing and siding to finish carpentry and remodeling. We are seeking motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong work ethic, and are eager to develop their skills in carpentry and construction. All positions are paid, including internships, ensuring you gain valuable experience while earning. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, siding, trim carpentry, and fixture installation. Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in construction site activities such as rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, and mold remediation. Operate woodworking machines safely for cutting, shaping, and assembling wood construction materials. Install various building components including metal studs, siding, flooring, fixtures, and insulation materials. Maintain safety standards by adhering to power tool safety protocols and ensuring proper use of all tools and equipment. Assist with restoration projects by performing tasks such as caulking, reinstallation of fixtures, siding repairs, and general handyman duties. Support team efforts in remodeling projects by interpreting technical drawings accurately and executing tasks efficiently on-site. Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on residential carpentry or remodeling projects. Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate project execution. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, framing equipment, and woodworking machines. Knowledge of wood construction materials including siding, flooring materials, drywall (including plastering), stucco, and metal studs. Experience in restoration industry tasks such as mold remediation or reinstallation of fixtures is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation or repair work. Prior handyman or general labor experience within the construction or renovation industry is highly desirable.
