Job Description
Experienced Residential Carpenter / Framer GreatLees Construction is hiring an experienced Carpenter / Framer to join our team full-time. We specialize in building detached and attached garages throughout Northeast Ohio , along with occasional sheds and other residential projects. We are looking for an experienced tradesperson who can step onto a jobsite, understand the plans, and contribute immediately.
WE ARE FULLY BOOKED WITH PROJECTS THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THIS YEAR AND INTO NEXT YEAR. THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND POSITION WITH CONSISTENT WORK AND NO PLANNED WINTER LAYOFFS.

What You'll Be Doing Your primary responsibility will be helping construct residential garages from the foundation up, including: Wall layout and framing Roof and gable framing Setting and bracing roof trusses Framing headers, windows, man doors, and overhead garage door openings Wall and roof sheathing Installing windows and exterior doors Siding, soffit, fascia, and exterior trim as needed Reading and building from blueprints and construction drawings Using saws, nail guns, drills, levels, and standard carpentry tools Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Occasional shed and other residential construction What We're Looking For Residential framing/carpentry experience is required.Qualified candidates should have:
Proven residential framing or carpentry experience Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings Strong knowledge of wood-framing methods Strong layout, measuring, cutting, and assembly skills Experience framing walls, headers, openings, roofs, and structural components Ability to safely operate standard carpentry tools and equipment Ability to work from ladders and perform the physical requirements of construction Good problem-solving skills in the field Valid driver's license Reliable transportation to jobsites Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Experience building garages, homes, additions, sheds, pole buildings, or similar wood-framed structures is strongly preferred.Pay & Schedule Pay:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability We are willing to pay toward the top of the range for a carpenter who can independently read plans, perform layout, frame accurately, solve normal field issues, and help keep projects moving.Job Type:
