Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic real estate construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for renovating and remodeling apartments and homes. Your will need expertise in, handling various hand and power tools, plastering and painting tools and working efficiently on-site to deliver clean and ready to rent apartments and homes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from framing and siding to remodeling and restoration, all while advancing your craft in a collaborative environment. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines. Construct framing for walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs with metal or wood studs according to specifications. Install siding, trim, drywall, stucco, flooring, fixtures, and other finishing components with precision. Perform heavy lifting and material handling safely during construction or renovation projects. Conduct plastering, caulking, and restoration tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with power tool safety protocols while operating woodworking tools and machinery on-site. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency throughout each project phase. Qualifications Proven experience as a journeyman carpenter with a strong background in residential carpentry and remodeling projects. Proficient in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws for woodworking; woodworking machines; metal stud framing equipment; drywall tools; caulking guns; and other relevant machinery. Knowledge of wood construction materials like siding, trim components, flooring materials. Experience with drywall installation; fixture mounting; siding application; restoration industry practices; heavy lifting; assembly tasks; flooring installation; window/door framing; plastering; caulking; remodeling projects; and general handyman duties. Familiarity with construction site safety standards including power tool safety protocols. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces when required. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship and safety compliance. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
