Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise finishing work that enhances the aesthetic and functional quality of residential and commercial projects. Your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and installation will contribute to delivering exceptional craftsmanship on time and within specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from framing and trim installation to cabinetry and fixture setup, ensuring every detail meets our high standards of quality. Our work week is 4 days a week 10 hours a day Monday to Thursday. Responsibilities Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute finish carpentry tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior and exterior woodwork including doors, windows, cabinetry, moldings, siding, and trim. Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking with a focus on safety and precision. Install fixtures such as lighting, hardware, appliances, and other custom wood or metal components. Perform surface preparation activities like caulking, sanding, plastering, and painting to ensure smooth finishes. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Requirements Proven experience in residential carpentry, finish carpentry, or related construction fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings. Skilled in using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders, nail guns) safely and effectively. Knowledge of woodworking machines and fabrication techniques for custom projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation processes. Experience with related trades such as plumbing, electrical work or masonry is a plus but not required.
