Carpenter / Laborer

Position Overview The Carpenter/Laborer supports residential renovation projects by performing a wide range of skilled and general construction tasks. This role is responsible for assisting with demolition, carpentry, installation, repairs, and finishing work while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently or alongside a team to complete projects efficiently and to client expectations. Key Responsibilities General Construction Duties Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim work, drywall installation/repair, flooring, and basic painting Assist with demolition, site prep, and material handling Follow project plans, instructions, and direction from lead carpenters or Project Manager Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times Project Support Complete assigned daily tasks and contribute to meeting project timelines Assist with problem-solving on-site and adapt to changing job conditions Support lead tradespeople as needed Quality Control Ensure all work meets company standards for craftsmanship and safety Identify and communicate any issues, defects, or rework needs Safety Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines Use tools and equipment safely and properly Maintain a hazard-free work environment Client Interaction Represent the company positively on all job sites Documentation & Materials Track materials used and notify team of low supplies Take progress photos if requested Qualifications 10+ years of experience in construction, carpentry, or related field preferred Basic knowledge of residential construction and remodeling practices Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Ability to read basic plans or take direction from leadership Strong work ethic and reliability Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor Soft Skills Attention to detail Strong teamwork and communication Positive attitude and willingness to learn Good time management and dependability Work Environment Full-time, Monday-Friday Job sites located throughout the local service area Physically active role requiring lifting, bending, and standing for long periods Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Simple IRA Retirement Plan Employer match available (details provided upon hire) Please note: At this time, we do not offer in-house health insurance, but we are actively exploring future options.
