Experienced Commercial/Industrial Carpenter Campbell Construction Inc., of Wooster/Wadsworth, Ohio is hiring skilled commercial/industrial Carpenters. We are one of NE Ohio's premier Design-Build contractors and have been in business since 1953. Candidates must have past experience working in the commercial/industrial carpentry field and currently or soon to be relocated in NE Ohio, preferably in Summit, Medina, Wayne, Ashland, Portage or Stark County. All of our work is performed in NE Ohio, which means you will be home every evening with your family.
Responsibilities:
Build, install, repair, and maintain wood, metal, composite, and related construction materials. Lay out buildings, forms, panels, embedded items, and job-site components. Build and set concrete forms, footing forms, wall forms, gang forms, and block-outs. Install framing, doors, windows, hardware, handrails, platforms, shelving, and fixtures. Measure, mark, cut, shape, assemble, and fasten materials accurately. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring tapes, lasers, levels, squares, and transits. Install subflooring, flooring, insulation, sheathing, beams, trusses, trim, cabinets, and finish materials. Install drywall, cement board, acoustical ceilings, grid systems, molding, and ceiling tile. Complete specialty installations such as countertops, partitions, casework, access flooring, and lab fixtures. Assist with scaffolding, shoring, temporary supports, caulking, fitting, fastening, and related job-site tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous carpentry or construction experience preferred. Knowledge of rough carpentry, finish carpentry, framing, formwork, drywall, and installation work. Ability to read plans, follow layouts, and take accurate measurements. Comfortable working with wood, plywood, metal, fiberglass, composites, gypsum board, and related materials. Strong attention to detail, safety, quality, and teamwork. Must be dependable and able to follow job-site instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, carry, and handle construction materials and tools. Must be able to stand, bend, climb, kneel, measure, cut, and fasten materials throughout the workday. Must be comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and on active construction sites. Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds, or elevated platforms as needed. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
