Job Summary:

Fitzpatrick Painting and Construction is actively seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter with 4+ years of experience in various aspects of residential and commercial carpentry and construction . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general carpentry, woodwork, cabinetry, flooring, painting, and fixing dry rot. Experience with siding and drywall is a plus.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform general carpentry tasks including framing, trimming, and custom woodwork.
• Construct, install, and repair cabinets, shelving, and other wooden structures.
• Lay and finish various types of flooring, ensuring high-quality results.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces, with attention to detail and finish quality.
• Identify and fix dry rot, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
• Install and repair siding, with a focus on precision and durability.
• (Bonus) Handle drywall tasks including installation, taping, and finishing.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Report each day on time and ready to work
• Work together with crew in a team environment (teams of two) Ability to:
• Routinely lift over 50lbs
• Use standard carpenter hand tools (power tools supplied)
• Must be comfortable working at heights of 16 ft-30 ft regularly
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.

Pay:

$21-30 per hour (depending on experience)

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial carpentry.
• Proficiency in general carpentry, woodwork, cabinetry, flooring, and painting.
• Ability to diagnose and repair dry rot and siding issues.
• (Preferred) Experience with drywall installation and finishing.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Schedule:

Full-Time (Monday - Friday), Weekends as needed
