Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenters to join our construction team in building quality highbred post frame buildings, from basic to elaborate projects, for a company that has been established since 1984 . In this role, you will be expected to have the general knowledge of a journeyman carpenter for standard residential construction including but not limited to project layout, stair systems, roof framing, installation of doors and windows; all executed with high-quality carpentry skills. With your expertise we will ensure that all structures are built to precise specification, following safety protocol and client expectations are exceeded. Knowledge, Skills and Equipment required Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to follow directions verbally, read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. To read, understand and follow company policies and safety procedures. The capability to document daily tasks with written descriptions for office records and data. Possess good interaction skills with construction crew, working as a team. Strong physical stamina capable of performing essential daily carpentry tasks and activities with occasional overtime hours; including but not limited to; frequent lifting and material handling, operating of all standard tools required for construction and assembly of components in project. Must have journeyman level knowledge in wood construction and the willingness to learn and be trainable in new skills and methods of construction tasks including but not limited to; working with metal siding and trims, concrete forming, pouring and finishing, detailed finish work and operating jobsite equipment. Provide personal hand tools and equipment needed to perform journeyman level carpentry tasks, have personal safety equipment and be willing to acquire tools and equipment as financially allowed. Have dependable transportation for the various jobsite locations and to maintain punctual working hours. Experience Must have references of proven experience at this carpentry level or in a similar construction role with strong portfolio of completed projects.
Pay:
$35.00 - $38.00 per hour
