Job Description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a skilled Concrete Carpenter for projects in Portland, Oregon and into the Salem, Oregon area. The Concrete Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing formwork, reinforcing steel, and other structural components for concrete structures. The ideal candidate will have experience working with concrete, possess strong carpentry skills, and be able to follow blueprints and specifications with precision . This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Wage $26 - $32+/hr depending on the project and your experience
Concrete Carpenter Key Responsibilities:
Construct, install, and repair concrete forms for building foundations, slabs, walls, columns, and other concrete structures. Measure and cut wood and other materials to meet job specifications. Install rebar and other reinforcements in concrete forms. Set up and take down forms after concrete is poured. Use hand and power tools to perform tasks such as sawing, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials. Follow blueprints and project specifications to ensure all work is done accurately. Work closely with other team members, including concrete finishers and laborers, to ensure efficient and high-quality project completion. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Troubleshoot and solve problems related to formwork and concrete placement. Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
Concrete Carpenter Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Concrete Carpenter or in a similar carpentry role. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials used in concrete construction. Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions. Strong attention to detail and precision in work. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with both residential and commercial concrete projects. Certification or training in concrete carpentry or related field. Familiarity with advanced formwork systems. First Aid and CPR certification.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more). Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain). Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and squat for long periods. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as required.
Schedule:
10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Home daily Monday to Friday Morning shift Nights as needed
