Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter/Installer specializing in windows and doors to join our construction team. This role offers the opportunity to work on residential and commercial projects, focusing on precise installation and finishing work. The position emphasizes quality craftsmanship, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include installing, aligning, and finishing windows and doors according to project specifications, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and ensuring all installations meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring extensive carpentry experience, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a thorough understanding of construction plans and schematics. Duties Install, align, and secure windows and doors in various building types following blueprint specifications and technical drawings. Measure dimensional requirements accurately using tape measures and other tools to ensure precise fitting. Prepare openings by framing or modifying existing structures as needed for proper installation. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Perform finishing tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, sealing, and touch-up painting to ensure a polished appearance. Interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to execute installation tasks accurately. Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to verify compliance with safety codes and client expectations. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of tasks. Assist with remodeling projects involving drywall installation, masonry work, or flooring as required. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly. Requirements Proven experience in finish carpentry or installation of windows and doors within residential or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of construction management principles, estimating processes, inspection protocols, and blueprint reading. Proficiency with Bluebeam software for digital plan review is preferred. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, tape measures; familiarity with power tools is essential. Experience with tile masonry, gutter installation, drywall finishing, roofing basics, plastering, stucco application, concrete forming/finishing is advantageous. Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to window/door installations enhances versatility. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members. Physical capability to perform ladder use safely and handle heavy materials during installations. Construction site experience demonstrating adherence to safety standards is required.
