OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Carpenter is completely responsible for the successful completion of the remodeling project, which includes being on time, on budget and maintaining a high level of quality. In addition to being an excellent framing and finish carpenter, he or she should exhibit good judgment, high ethical standards, good oral & written communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and problem solving. This position is on the "front line" in achieving our company goals of superior product quality and customer satisfaction.Specific Duties:
Actively participate in both pre-construction conference and pre-completion walk through with client and Project Manager. Maintain a clean, safe job site at all times. Perform all carpentry labor and assign tasks to carpenters and helpers. Ensure work being performed is done in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Working within a schedule to complete the job on-time and on-budget. Coordinating subcontractors. Track & enter all jobsite activities in Project Management software.Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or similar role, leading a crew of 2-3 people.
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction methods, specific to all phases of kitchen and bathroom remodeling.
- Meticulous skillset of drywall, wet-wall systems, finish carpentry, and tiling.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
