Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Carpenter to join our growing team specializing in residential remodeling, aging-in-place modifications, and accessibility renovations throughout the Pittsburgh region. This position requires a highly skilled carpenter who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, problem-solving, and delivering safe, functional living environments that help clients remain independent in their homes. The ideal candidate will have extensive residential remodeling experience, strong finish carpentry skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with homeowners, subcontractors, and project managers. Key Responsibilities Perform all phases of residential remodeling and renovation projects. Install accessibility features including ramps, grab bars, stair lifts (site preparation), widened doorways, accessible kitchens, and barrier-free bathrooms. Complete framing, drywall, flooring, trim, cabinetry, and finish carpentry work. Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and homeowners. Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites. Identify and resolve construction challenges while maintaining project schedules and quality standards. Accurately document work completed and communicate project updates. Qualifications Required 5+ years of residential construction or remodeling experience. Strong carpentry skills including framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Experience with bathroom, kitchen, and whole-home renovations. Ability to read plans and construction documents. Knowledge of building codes and construction best practices. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Preferred Experience with aging-in-place, accessibility Trade school or apprenticeship training. Experience leading small crews or mentoring apprentices. Desired Attributes Self-motivated and dependable. Professional appearance and demeanor when working in occupied homes. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
