Description Carpenter's Assistant - Full-Time McGraw Contracting, LLC is seeking a reliable, motivated Carpenter's Assistant to join our residential construction team. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position assisting our carpenters and field crews with a variety of tasks throughout the construction and remodeling process.
Responsibilities may include assisting with:
- New home framing and minor framing projects
- Insulation installation during remodels
- Drywall installation, finishing, patching, and repairs
- Interior and exterior painting and staining
- Flooring and tile installation
- Door, hardware, and doorknob installation
- Assisting with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work
- Paving and general sitework
- General material handling, jobsite cleanup, and preparation
Other construction tasks as needed The ideal candidate is dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working with their hands, and able to work as part of a team. Construction experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. A willingness to learn different aspects of residential construction is highly valued.
