Description:

Seeking a Lead Carpenter to be a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Installer in New Construction/Renovation Job Sites throughout the local area. $25-$36/hr to start. Day Shift schedule. This role leads the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment in new construction and renovation projects across a multi-state territory. You will be working in a variety of commercial kitchen environments, including restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and institutional facilities. You will oversee the setup of appliances and systems in commercial kitchens, ensure all work meets safety and regulatory standards, and serve as a key point of contact for customers. The position requires strong carpentry and mechanical skills, the ability to work with minimal direction, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, timely installations that support efficient and safe kitchen operations. Essential Skills Proven experience in construction and carpentry, including framing, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry. Ability to install commercial kitchen equipment and appliances, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and ventilation systems. Strong mechanical skills with a solid understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems relevant to commercial kitchen equipment. Proficiency in reading and working from blueprints and installation plans. Ability to independently interface with customers, communicate clearly, and represent the company in a professional manner. Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues on site. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces. Capability to work with minimal direction while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Basic computer or documentation skills to keep accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Relevant industry certifications, such as those from the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) or North American Technician Excellence (NATE) for refrigeration and HVAC skills, are a strong plus. Assignments are generally 23 day jobs, with travel required throughout the region. You will regularly work in active construction areas, using hand and power tools, handling heavy equipment, and operating in confined spaces. The role involves collaborating with construction teams and distributors on-site to coordinate installations in busy, professional commercial kitchen and renovation environments. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday with a 7 AM start time, with some weekend work and potential overtime to meet project timelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prospect Park, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
