Miller Bros. Construction, Inc. is looking for an experienced Concrete Worker / Carpenter to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is safety-conscious, and works effectively as part of a construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in rough and finish carpentry, concrete site preparation, form carpentry, and concrete finishing, and be comfortable working in a commercial and industrial construction environment. What You'll Do Perform skilled carpentry and concrete work across commercial and industrial construction projects Perform site preparation for concrete placement, including layout, excavation, grading, forming, and preparation of work areas Perform concrete form carpentry, including layout, construction, installation, and removal of forms Read and follow blueprints, drawings, specifications, and installation details Perform accurate layout using levels, lasers, strings, squares, measuring tools, and other layout equipment Measure, cut, assemble, install, and secure materials using proper carpentry methods and tools Construct and install framing, walls, ceilings, blocking, backing, trim, doors, windows, and other building components Work with a variety of building materials, including wood, steel, trim, siding, doors, windows, insulation, drywall, and finishes Ensure work is level, plumb, square, properly aligned, and built to project specifications Follow manufacturer installation instructions and project requirements for all materials and systems Safely operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools used in carpentry and construction Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, proper fit, and compliance with project specifications Coordinate work with foremen, supervisors, laborers, equipment operators, and other trades to maintain an efficient jobsite Identify potential issues with materials, measurements, layout, or installation and communicate concerns before they affect the project Communicate mistakes, questions, or changes in site conditions promptly so they can be addressed quickly Protect finished work, materials, and existing structures using proper coverings and jobsite protection methods Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite, including daily cleanup and proper storage of tools and materials Work efficiently to help keep projects on schedule and within budget Follow all OSHA safety guidelines, company policies, and jobsite safety procedures What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Carpenter and/or Concrete Worker in commercial / industrial construction Experience with concrete site preparation, form carpentry, concrete placement, and concrete finishing Experience in both rough and finish carpentry Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry and concrete construction techniques, materials, and methods Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools used in carpentry and concrete construction Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, elevations, and installation details Ability to accurately measure, calculate, layout, cut, assemble, form, and install construction materials Strong understanding of proper layout, including level, plumb, square, alignment, and elevation Ability to recognize quality issues and correct or communicate them before they impact the project Ability to safely perform concrete finishing and related work using appropriate hand and power tools Ability to work safely around other trades, equipment, materials, concrete operations, and active construction activities Strong physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and manipulate tools and construction materials Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights, on ladders, and from elevated work platforms as required Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Reliable, consistent, and safety-focused work habits Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to successfully pass a drug screening What We Offer Competitive pay Health insurance Dental insurance Company-paid life insurance Long-term disability coverage 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays Join Our Team At Miller Bros.
