Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Handyman/Carpenter to join our maintenance team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that facilities are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to a positive environment for residents, tenants, and staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your mechanical knowledge, technical skills, and customer service abilities in a fast-paced setting. Duties Conduct repairs and maintenance on building interior systems including walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, windows, and cabinetry using carpentry and hand tools. Perform electrical work such as troubleshooting electrical equipment, repairing wiring, installing switches and outlets. Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper operation of plumbing infrastructure. Conduct electrical equipment repair using tools like ohmmeters to diagnose faults accurately. Perform facilities equipment maintenance including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and building interior components. Assist with maintenance painting projects to enhance the appearance of interior spaces. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with residents or clients about repair timelines and solutions. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed. Experience Proven experience in general maintenance or repair roles within residential or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including framing, cabinetry installation, drywall repair, and finishing work. Hands-on experience with electrical work such as wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and electrical system repairs. Familiarity with plumbing system maintenance including leak detection and fixture replacement. Proficiency with hand tools as well as specialized equipment like ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to perform maintenance painting and building interior upkeep effectively. Strong communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and provide outstanding customer service. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
