Job Description
The Master Carpenter works with the elected board of directors of the Village Square Theatre and the Artistic Director to advance the mission of the Village Square Theatre though the development of sets in collaboration with each shows creative team. The Master Carpenter will meet with the director of each show to determine set needs, budget requirements, volunteers needs, schedule and deadlines. The Master Carpenter will work with the directors on a set design and troubleshoot problems with the set as they come up. The Master Carpenter will keep supplies, wood and tools etc. organized and stocked and will coordinate and manages work days in collaboration with the director (or designee). The Master Carpenter will overseas the strike for each shows. The Master Carpenter will follow all policies and procedures of the Village Square Theatre.
